Avian Influenza A(h5n1) Alert per the Arkansas Department of Health:

The US surpassed the previous records for the number of birds affected in November of 2022, making this the worst domestic outbreak of avian influenza in poultry. While this is currently a low risk to the public, anyone in close proximity to poultry needs to be protected as it can and has spread to humans.

Be safe and wear a high filtration mask around your avian friends.

FYI--my doctor's office in Mountain Home, Arkansas told me yesterday that they're seeing more Covid cases again. Please be safe, especially if you're traveling. I can't tell you the number of vacations that I personally know of that have been ruined because someone didn't mask on a flight. The airlines do their best I'm sure, but that recirculated air is no joke on a crowded plane. Here's a great article on safe traveling:

I traveled through the entire pandemic for work, but I have always worn our masks. I have never (knock on everything) had Covid, and I give full credit to these respirators.

Our latest intern from Mountain Home High School assisted us in 3D printing specialty parts for our mask manufacturing machines, optimizing shipping processes and programming our new packaging system. We supplied high filtration masks for students in school districts in Arkansas last fall, and would like to thank the authors of this study for examining the data to provide evidence that mask usage reduced infections so dramatically.
