Bad sharpening isn't just cosmetic.

It changes edge geometry and feel.
It removes excess metal.
It shortens the lifespan of your shears.

You've invested in professional tools.
Make sure the person touching them is a professional too.

Japanese convex shears require specialized training and not all sharpeners are qualified to service them.

If your shears have been damaged or are cutting worse after a "sharpen"... Send me a photo.

Let's see if they can be restored.

I'm blown away by the generosity of my sharpening colleagues who are so enthusiastic to share their time and knowledge with those who are truly interested in personal growth.

Many thanks to Nick Vracknos & Deann Vracknos from Salon Services in Australia who have always been quick to step up and offer their help since the very first moment I met them. It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with them yesterday online, talking and learning all things industry.

Our newest puppy addition landed himself in emergency abdominal surgery. 🤕 Unfortunately I will not be available for the next couple weeks (other than to those that have been in touch with me) while I tend to his recovery. I apologize for the inconvenience. I will get back to sharpening as soon as I can! As always, I appreciate your support and understanding. ❤️
