Mars just got a little closer.

Blue Origin is honored to have been selected by to help build the first dedicated communications network at the Red Planet. Our Mars Telecommunications Orbiter (MTO), built on the Blue Ring platform, will create new pathways for science while delivering multiple payloads to the orbit of Mars, driving discovery today and preparing for the next chapter of human exploration.

📝➡️⚡️From concept to reality in just weeks.

Our team completed Blue Origin’s first firing of an internally developed Hall‑effect thruster. The test validated sustained operation and the plasma conditions needed for electric thrust. This is an important step toward building the electric propulsion systems that will maneuver our spacecraft.

More to come as we continue developing propulsion capabilities - moving fast while building vertically integrated technology for our future in space.

Quartz is our global ground communications network, purpose-built to support Blue’s product portfolio and external customers across a broad range of mission sets. Nine sites worldwide by the end of the year.

The B-Test Complex at NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center helped take Americans to the Moon. Now it will help take us back. We have signed an agreement with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to use the historic facility for New Glenn second stage hotfire testing.
