Just about wrapped up burning on this project.

For this job, we chose to grub out the locust trees and burn them rather than mulch them. While forestry mulching is a great option for many species, locust trees are known for aggressively sprouting from their root systems. By completely removing the root mass, we help reduce future regrowth and create a cleaner, more manageable site for the landowner.

We're getting close to wrapping this one up! This project included clearing approximately 2.5 acres and creating a new parking area.

A little more finish work to go, but it's always rewarding seeing a project come together from start to finish. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to sharing the final results soon.

I never would have imagined we'd be this busy only two years in. I had the dream and the vision, but I honestly didn't think it would become reality this fast.

Finished up another township clearing job in Shelby County this week.

We opened up over 3.5 miles of roadway, reclaiming right of way that had become overgrown and difficult to maintain. Taking the time to do these jobs right improves visibility, makes future maintenance easier, and helps keep roads safer for the public.

Our excavator is making quick work of reclaiming township roads through forestry mulching—improving visibility, restoring access, and supporting long-term maintenance along the right-of-way.

What a great opportunity to work alongside the Natural Land Institute, and talk with Kyle Hulbert to talk about what proper land management actually looks like.

This isn’t about just clearing everything out and calling it good. It’s about having a plan—understanding what should stay, what needs removed, and how to improve the land for wildlife, soil health, and long-term sustainability.

On this project, we handled the forestry mulching, and the next step is targeted follow-up—spot spraying with selective herbicides to control regrowth and keep invasive species from taking back over. That’s what makes results like this actually last.

As a company, we take a lot of pride in this kind of work. As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I care about what the land looks like after we leave. We’re not here to just clear it—we’re here to improve it.

Appreciate Kyle taking the time to share his knowledge and give some real insight into how this should be done.
