Hey everyone. I KNOW WHO AM I!!!!! I didn't fall off the face of the earth I promise. This year has been a bit...... all over the place. I have a lot of things I am going to cover in this post and I hope this clears a lot up. In doing so it will also explaine a few things. Lets get started with the first part of the year.
Jan-March
The first part brought in not only the new year but also on my husband's side of the family a few deaths. Last year I hinted at a few things that I was excited to have happen. It was a massive move to a new location in another state. A job opportunity for my husband. I fine tuned some things on my new website. Delt with some MAJOR issues with it. On top of all of that I had somethings happen that I had to get an attorney involved. Lucky for me it was in my favor.
April-June
April didn't have much going on other than the excitement of a move may was much of the same June.. well tail end of June I almost lost a family member. I got up on the 30th of the month and was working on a few things to take over to my mums house for my sisters birthday and I had a bad feeling. I called as usual no answer... I thought maybe they are busy.. I get in the car later the morning with my daughter and head to their house and my sister calls in. It was my mother.
July- September
Mum has been in and out of the hospital off and on this whole time. Thankfully she is doing great now. During which time we found out the move fell through.... may have been a but sooner not sure. I was upset over that but glad at the same time it didn't happen with everything.
October- Dec
I can't say much of that will happen in the last part of the year, but I am working a few things. I love my business and yes, I know I haven't done anything or made anything new or posted but I have some major changes I am working on. One being a rename and rebrand sort of thing. The name was pick on the backbone of a lot of negativity and bad energy at the time of the start and the name also kind of formed a box so to speak. From the start my business has been compared to another that is established in town and those have asked if I work with or I should collaborate with them. Nothing against the other business but I put a lot of work and time and love into this, and I want to keep it its own thing. I have been compared a lot to the other and also have been cornered, threatened and all over a nightmare. The name forming a box meaning if I want to add or take away something its restricted. So, I am working on allowing for growth in the business and for more creativity to come through and I am really trying to separate people's mindset that my business and the other are two different things. Yes, same time of store but different on several pages. I understand there is going to be comparisons, but I am aiming to try and make a clear statement that I am my own things with no connections to the other business.
All my goals and ideas are still going to happen. I just realized that in order for that to happen I have to make the changes on my end to allow for it. I still want a store front. I still want to bring in things mentioned. I still want to expand to more than just my vendors and pop ups and online to fully established. Just don't give up on me yet as I navigate this journey. My husband has pointed a few things out to me that has helped shaped this movement. I go to work on something new or want to include something new and his question is always the same "How does this connect to Magick and what it means" I get to thinking and if I give an answer relatively easy it's in if I think about it without looking at the bigger picture for more than a few I toss is and I do that cause at the specific moment I can't think of it though the idea is related it's not big picture related. If that made any sense. He is still learning a lot about this path for it not being his and he is looking at it through the everyday non-judgmental mindset of it and though I can connect it. It can't be connected at that time. This shift and change will allow for it to all connect and hopefully become something amazing and beautiful and something I have envisioned it being from the start back in 2022.
While the original location I was hoping for fell through due to a number of things. I do have my eye on one or two more places I am hoping to get information about. Both is going to need a bit of work, one more than the other. But both will be in a great location with plenty of traffic and hopefully that brings people in.
The changes that will be happening I hope.... will be starting the turn of the year. Starting with the business name change from Magick and Candles LLC to.... Well... stick with me and find out I looked and there is no business with this name or variation of name. Magick and Candles have one close to it called Magickal Candles in Indy I wasn't aware of when I chose this name as it didn't pop up during my research when I went to get my LLC for this one or I would have chosen a different name. There will be items that will be removed.... Ok I may be wiping the slate clean and starting over or I may keep some of the items and grow from that. I am unsure yet.
Thank you everyone who has supported me this far and stuck with me and I hope for the continued support as I start fresh on this journey and hopefully build it on the backbones of good thoughts and positivity and growth.
