I get a lot questions about LOGO designs, and I have the pleasure of applying a lot of self designed logos to a wide variety of substrates. Bottom line is I think there will be value in addressing this subject.
A quick tip on designing a logo for your business
When it comes to logos, less is more. The most effective logos are simple, clear, and easy to recognize at a glance.
A good logo should:
• Be recognizable, even when it’s small
• Work in black and white, not just color
• Reflect your brand personality, not every service you offer
• Be timeless, not tied to a passing trend
Your logo isn’t meant to explain your business—it’s meant to identify it. Think Nike, Apple, or Chick-fil-A. Simple marks that instantly trigger trust and familiarity.
If someone can remember your logo after seeing it once, you’re on the right track.
Build clarity first. Fancy can come later.
