Deliver Value That Addresses Pain Points

There’s a wealth of content — some good and some complete garbage. The way consumers connect with your business is through the value you deliver. Your follower base will grow if your content is practical and actionable.

It takes time to create good content. It takes research and a commitment not to lower your standards. There are many good examples of consistently delivering excellent content. Stand out by going over-the-top for your audience. They will notice and you will stand out.

The goal is to generate revenue but that shouldn’t come at the expense of how you make your audience feel. People can tell when you view them like a number. It repels them. The companies that build a raving audience do it by making a connection that goes beyond money.

Treat everyone you encounter with respect. When you build a loyal and engaged following, they will tell others and visibility will grow. This gives you the opportunity to make a greater impact.

Stand out. Don't follow another company’s blueprint just because they’re successful. Avoid the hype and spammy tactics. Those companies don’t last in the long run. Build your following by delivering value that helps solve your audience’s biggest struggles.

Reasons Why You Don’t Experience Revenue Growth

In 2017, e-commerce sales hit five trillion dollars according to Digital Commerce 360. In 2017, Amazon alone generated 177.9 billion online according to the BBC.

The growth of your business will be determined by the efforts you make towards online marketing. The number of people and potential customers using the Internet will only increase as time rolls on.

But, there’s a reason businesses aren’t experiencing growth. That reason is because they haven’t and/or aren’t building their audience. It’s the #1 reason businesses don’t experience growth.

You can do everything else right, but if you don’t have an audience (and potential customer base) to see what you’re doing, you won’t get sales.

Most of the major social media networks want you to pay to reach your audience.

If you’re going to build an audience that buys what you sell, you should be building an email list along with your social media presence and getting exposure for your business through the media.

It should be a multi-tiered strategy. Building the best platform online is not enough. You should be making twice the amount of effort to build an audience that sees it.

Simplify Your Foundation

You’ve seen websites that have so much going on that you just don’t know what to do. People get frustrated and leave when there are too many options on your website.

According to HubSpot research, you only have 10 seconds to capture someone’s attention when they visit your website. That means, it has to be simple and clear about what you are encouraging a new visitor to do.

Simplify as much as possible. A great example of this is the wildly popular website Zen Habits, which Time Magazine, is listed as one of the 25 best websites. The website boasts more than a million readers. Visitors love the simplicity.
Not every website can be that simple, but chances are there are ways to simplify your website. That will create a better user experience for potential new customers.

Naturally, you want it to increase revenue. In that desire to increase profits, you risk coming off as pushy to your community. The soft sell usually works best for closing a new customer.

Let the new customer know what your organization offers, show them the results they would get, and offer testimonials from people satisfied with what they bought from you. That information does all the selling for you without coming off as pushy.

Build Increased Engagement This Way

Even in the most remote parts of the world, there is still access to the Internet. Everywhere you look, you’ll see people using smartphones to access the Internet and social media.

The opportunity to build or grow an organization using the power and reach of the Internet is exciting. Billions of users log on every day and you have the chance to reach the fraction that’s interested in the value you offer.

The key is understanding how to pique their interest. Hype is not how you build a loyal and engaged following online. Always represent your company.

People can tell the real thing when they see it. In fact, since so many companies put on a front, your organization stands out when you are authentic. Being authentic means a few things:

Always tell the truth. Even if it makes you look bad, be transparent. People connect with you when they feel like they see the full picture.
Don’t put yourself on a pedestal. Yes, you have accolades but cramming them down your audience’s throat doesn’t build a connection. You have to balance.

Become an Industry Leader Online

Everyday, there are 4.5 billion people logging onto the Internet. If you’re looking to increase sales, the internet offers you an unlimited customer base. The opportunity to start from scratch and reach an engaged audience is exciting.

Time Magazine has an interesting calculator. The calculator estimates consumers are spending $550,000 every minute online. Some of those sales can be yours if you can stand out and show customers why they should do business with your company.

Some companies have hurt their reputation with hype and empty promises. One tip? Don’t overestimate what you’re doing.

When building, there’s a temptation to exaggerate what you’ve accomplished. The truth always has a funny way of revealing itself. The worst thing you can do is tarnish your reputation.

Your website is your home base. It’s the place that you send leads, customers and potential partners to learn about your business. When it’s too confusing or not clear what you want consumers to do, you’ve lost them.

You’ve got 30 seconds to convince a new visitor to stay. Keep it simple and clean. Don’t try to wow leads with too many widgets and plug-ins. Let your content hook them.

Make the sign up for your email list prominent. Offer a free digital download to entice and inform leads. Email is still the best way to convert leads into customers. Build a list of consumers who love what you offer. They will be your evangelists.

2. Spend time on creating compelling content.

Content is still King. Despite the impressiveness of today’s modern websites and features, the content is what creates a buying decision. You should never phone it in. Your content needs to "wow" your audience and address their biggest pain points.

For instance, you might suggest the need for greater cooperation and collaboration to effectively address team issues and departmental problems.
