Sunday dinner at the Marymont. I usually don’t post pictures with the windows all boarded up, but as time goes on without a sale to restore the mansion, she might sold just to add 20 houses to the area.

Currently being offered at $1.2 million, the owners have raised the price considerably.

Also the house has been condemned. Making it easier to be removed from the National Register of Historic Places. Once that happens it can be razed at anytime.

The rampant and vulgar graffiti inside has been covered up and replaced with religious references in purple sparkle no less

I’ve exhausted grant searches and came up empty or to secure the grant you had to have matching funds that I just do not have.

Tell your friends…somebody out there knows of a multi-millionaire that needs a tax deduction.

In a perfect world, $10 mill would purchase, restore, and furnish the Marymont as a period home. The Oaklands Mansion and the Carnton Plantation have successfully done just that.

All these GREAT cameras you can buy today remind me of a story.

A photographer is invited to a dinner party and upon arriving is met at the door by the host. “I so glad you came” said the host. “I love your photos; they are the best! You must have a great camera!” The photographer nodded and entered. When leaving, the photographer was once again met by the host at the door. “That was an incredible meal” said the photographer. “I have photographed all over the world and have eaten in the finest of restaurants. Your meal was as delicious as any I’ve eaten. You must have an incredible oven.”

Remember, a good camera is nice; however, who’s standin’ behind it is what really matters.
