I remember Hiwassee Resort which was prior to it being named Bear Paw. It had active tennis lessons, horse back riding, a restaurant that was furnished with whiskey Barrell chairs and tables, a gymnasium that had dance lessons and multiple other things. An ice skating rink came later. It’s good to see active things happening there again. Lois Digney Huntington did a great job with the July 4th celebration. Jason Ireson did a great job with the boat parade. I didn’t see the golf cart parade but I heard Jessica Ritz Poltrock did a great job with it. I don’t have to live in BP to appreciate it coming back to life.

Look what Mac has on the smoker today. If you don’t know what the round things are. It’s called cupcake chicken. It’s chicken with a piece of peach inside. Don’t forget the smoked peach beans.
Proceeds will be donated to the Valley River Humane Society.
