Visit the only working winery on Main Street in Murphys in our historical barn at the west end of town. Enjoy wine tastings and wine by the glass indoors or outdoors overlooking our scenic vineyard. Mark Hoover, owner, and winemaker is committed to producing authentic RhĂ´ne and Spanish varietals on the estate winery and with grapes sourced from local high-quality vineyard partners that showcase various terroir and micro-climates from the Sierra Foothills and Northern California. We are open daily from 11 am - 4 pm for wine tasting and until 5 pm for wine purchases, retail sales & wine club pick-ups.

We’d love to see you next Saturday, October 17th for The Gathering on Main Street in Murphys, California!

If you’re looking for things to do in Murphys during The Gathering, make Val du Vino part of your day. Spend some time exploring the festivities, then make your way to the end of Main Street for a w**e tasting, a glass of your favorite w**e, and a little time on our patio.
Whether you’re visiting Murphys for the first time or making a day of it with your favorite people, we’d love to pour you a glass. 🍷

The Gathering takes place Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11 AM–5 PM. Val du Vino is open Wednesday–Sunday, 11 AM–5 PM.

A little Syrah moment for your October. 🍷

As the weather starts to cool down, we’re reaching for w**es with a little more depth. Our Calaveras County Syrah is juicy and fruit-forward, with notes of blueberry jam, dried raspberry and boysenberry that soften into warm caramel and fresh pomegranate as it opens up.

It’s bold enough for the season, but still beautifully balanced and easy to enjoy. Pair it with something off the grill, pour a glass on the patio, or take a bottle home for later.

Come give it a taste. We’re pouring Wednesday–Sunday from 11–5PM.

The first official week of fall calls for a deeper pour. 🍷

As the days get a little shorter and the evenings a little cooler, we’re reaching for a bold Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich, full-bodied and made for sipping slowly, it’s just the kind of red we want in our glass as we head into a new season.
