I never thought it could be so difficult to photograph your own child.

So, it's been almost four years since I've done photo work for people... I thought it was time to start it up again and explain what I've been up to over the last four years!

Long story short, I have an older brother with Autism. In 2014, I moved back to my hometown and accepted a job working with adults with developmental disabilities. I fell in love with this job and enjoyed being closer to my brother. We became best friends. I took a break from photography and just enjoyed spending time with my brother, gardening, acquiring farm animals, and so many other projects, including going back to school and doing a lot of volunteer work. Any time anyone asked me why I wasn't doing photography, I told them I just simply did not have time!

Well, here I am in 2018 and I'm ready to get back into this. These pictures are of my brother. He loves to have his picture taken!

I will be photographing friends and family in the next couple weeks so that my work is updated, and I will also get a new website up and running. Stay tuned!
