Please use and share this guide with all of your reporters. Especially as we enter the implementation of legislation that passed last year for massage establishment licensing.

Our industry will be a part of conversations and attention locally more than ever before! And the words YOU use while reporting will make a world of difference in keeping our Licensed Massage Practitioners safe.

If we continue using “massage” when referring to s*xually oriented businesses, we strengthen the connection between massage therapy and s*x acts for consumers looking for a source.

We see an uptick in requests for s*x acts in our legitimate massage establishments every time the media reports on a “massage parlor” being shut down.

We are calling on you to change the dialogue and keep our massage therapists safe! Our safety is just as important as our clients’ safety. Contact us for more information, or for an interview with an expert.
