I had a great time this morning learning more about our local government’s voting process and procedures at the Nampa Chamber of Commerce's Government Relations Committee meeting.

Thank you Jeff Agenbroad, Former State Senator at State of Idaho, for the informative presentation on Nampa’s zoning and voting districts—especially how they apply to non-partisan positions like city council, fire chief, and mayor.

It’s eye-opening how low voter turnout is in Canyon County. I’d love to get more involved in “get the vote out” efforts and support civic engagement here in our community.

Wherever I go, my camera comes too. 📸

Long Beach, WA was a Summer escape—campfires, lighthouses, and bike rides along the ocean to capture the moments that recharge me. ⛺️ 🚲

Photography has always been a quiet part of my creative process. It reminds me that inspiration can come from anywhere—especially the simple, beautiful chaos of nature. 🌿

I found myself chasing light, color, and texture—from the curve of the coastline to the wild daisies along the trail. 🌼

This summer, I got to give my dad a gift we’ll never forget.

While in Minneapolis, I rented out an entire rink at Parade Ice Garden just for the two of us. My dad has loved hockey since his peewee days in Spokane, and some of my favorite childhood memories are skating with him or watching him play.

We had the ice all to ourselves—skating, dancing, singing, and just being together. It was pure joy, and one of those memories I’ll always carry with me.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments aren’t about doing something big—they’re about creating space for connection. 💙

It was an emotional trip. We were there for my grandmother’s memorial, which also happened to be the 18th anniversary of my dad’s brother’s passing. His widowed wife was turning 82 that weekend, and we also missed my cousin’s high school graduation party. Through it all, this moment with my dad felt extra meaningful.

Forever grateful for the gift of time with him. 🥰

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at Parade Ice Garden for making this possible, and to friends who were our photographer, tour-guide, chauffeur, and helped make sure we got where we needed to be that weekend.

✨ Leaving a Legacy ✨

This summer I traveled to Minnesota to honor the life of my grandmother, Margi June Lund Kinney Borg. She lived 88 incredible years, and her funeral was a packed house — a true testament to the impact she had on her community and everyone who knew her.

She was a force: president of the PTA, president of the state’s school board, active in theater and drama, a teacher, a leader, and even a candidate for state senator. She gave, she led, she loved — and because of that, she was fulfilled.

While we spent time at her family’s home on Prior Lake — fishing, paddle boarding, playing piano, water skiing, and watching magical sunrises and sunsets — I couldn’t help but think about the legacy she left behind. Margi made people feel seen, included, and loved. She made me feel like her granddaughter, and she loved my sons as her own.

She is a shining example of how I want to impact this world: by giving more than I take, by bringing joy into every space I enter, and by creating a legacy that lasts long after I’m gone.

Here’s to living a life that leaves an impression. 💛
