There is a wild, unpredictable magic to a true links course like Royal Birkdale or St. Andrews—and honestly, it reminds me a lot of winemaking. In both, nature calls the shots, and you have to respect the elements.

With the tournament underway, I’m looking forward to being a fan this weekend—pulling up a chair and watching the drama unfold.
