Since it’s founding in 2002, the vision for Whetstone Wine Cellars has remained the same: to use vineyard-based winemaking to showcase beautiful California fruit in limited-production, single-vineyard wine. Southern charm and warm hospitality amidst wine country luxury can be found in all elements of

the Whetstone experience. It transcends not only the Whetstone's home and the chateau, but into the vineyards as well. Built in 1885, our Tasting Salon has lived many lives over the years. After sitting quietly vacant for decades, the Whetstones lovingly restored the space and reopened its doors in 2013, bringing new energy to one of Napa’s hidden gems.

After 23 vintages, the Catie’s Corner Viognier still feels like summer in a glass ☀️

This Whetstone favorite is floral, food friendly, and totally unforgettable.

Fun fact: Viognier nearly disappeared from the world in the 1960s, with fewer than 40 acres remaining. Jamey’s been making it since Whetstones very first vintage and once you taste it, you’ll understand why this rare grape was worth saving.
