A different way to do Napa 🛶

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Napa Valley Paddle for Ride the River, a day that starts on the water and ends exactly where we think it should: around a table with good food and wine.

Paddle the Napa River through downtown, past the Oxbow and into one of the quieter, wilder stretches of the valley. Then make your way to the historic Borreo Building, where we’ll have Whetstone wines and lunch waiting in the redwood grove overlooking the water.

Available for groups of 12 or more, with your choice of a Mediterranean grazing table, alfresco or boxed lunch, plus a reserved space and a Whetstone host to pour the wines and share a little history along the way.

Over decades in the wine industry, Jamey has come to admire a rare breed: the true vignerons. The people who know how to drive a tractor, dial in a spray rig, adjust the tank thermostat during fermentation, and head out into the wild blue yonder to sell their wares.

Enter Lee Hudson.

Jamey and Lee’s friendship has been built over years of mutual respect, a shared love of pushing the edge, and plenty of laughter along the way.

The 2025 Jon Boat Red Blend brings together Grenache and Syrah from Hudson’s Carneros vineyards - a pairing Jamey has been wanting to make for years. The Syrah brings a wilder, savory side while showing off the cassis-driven fruit these vineyards are known for.
