“Based on 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 19% Petite Sirah from the Frediani Vineyard, the 2023 ###IV (34) sports an inky hue as well as black fruits, leafy herbs, graphite, and iron notes. It’s medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and tannic, with serious structure, a grippy mouthfeel, and a great finish. You need to love tannins if you’re going to open bottles over the coming 3-4 years. There are 539 cases produced. Drink 2030-2045.”

Long before the Super Bowl rings, there was Napa Valley soil. 🍷

Three generations ago, Dick Vermeil’s great-grandfathers arrived from Europe and put down roots in Calistoga — building friendships, planting vines, and starting a tradition that never stopped. Coach grew up at a table where wine was always present, sometimes sneaking a sip straight from his grandfather’s wine thief.

In 1999, that lifelong connection became Vermeil Wines — born from family, shaped by over a century of tradition, and crafted today by legendary winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown across eleven distinct wines.

This isn’t a celebrity label. It’s a homecoming.
