Welcome to the crew, Crystal + Miguel!
🍷 Crystal joins us from Phoenix, with a path into w**e shaped by her love of food, farming, geography, and working with the land. Her experience has taken her from organic farming in Vermont to Korea and the vineyards of Piemonte, Italy. With WSET 2 under her belt and IWS and WSET 3 underway, she’s spending harvest exploring another facet of the industry before deciding where to put down roots next.
🍷 Miguel’s path started in Marlborough, New Zealand, where a vineyard job trimming vines, fixing irrigation, and driving tractors sparked his interest in w**e. Wanting to understand the full process, he followed the grapes into the cellar and found that he loved the hands-on, ever-changing nature of harvest. After his time with us, he’s headed to Western Australia for vintage number four.
When they’re not working, you’ll find Crystal cooking, gardening, or making art, and Miguel hiking, surfing, playing basketball, or doing pretty much anything that keeps him moving.
We’re glad their paths brought them to Howell Mountain this harvest.
