The JTB Team is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founder, Tom Bailey. Tom started JTB Distributors in 1991 with two goals: to sell the best ice cream equipment on the market and to provide for his family. It was, in every sense, a family-run business.
Tom left a vibrant impression on every person he met. He was always kind, full of life, made people laugh, and truly made everyone feel like they were part of his family. He became an expert on Carpigiani equipment, and would help anyone and everyone (customers or not) with their service questions. He was so proud that the business was able to continue to grow during his 8-year battle with cancer. As he stepped away for treatments, his team stepped up. We knew Tom would do anything for us, so the least we could do is make his business successful. And we were so proud to win Tom the “Best Service” award from Carpigiani for multiple years in a row. Because we knew that the heartbeat of our service was Tom’s legacy. JTB will miss Tom forever.
Moving forward, Sandy and Keri are taking the reigns as co-owners of JTB Distributors, and while they are taking time now to grieve and honor Tom, they are committed to making Tom’s legacy continue on as one of Carpigiani’s longest and best Distributors.
