Today gives me two very good reasons to open a bottle of Cabernet. It's International Cabernet Day. It also happens to be my birthday week. So I'd like to invite you to celebrate with a wine that has been part of my story from the beginning: HāLo.

HāLo is named for my brother Lorenzo and me, Hailey and Lorenzo, the third generation of our family at Trefethen. Our parents created it with an eye toward the future: the future of our vineyards, the future of our family, and the next generation who would someday help steward both.

But HāLo has always been about more than the two of us. First and foremost, it is about a place.

So today, for Cabernet Day and for another trip around the sun, I'm opening a bottle that carries both my name and so much of my family's story. I hope you'll raise a glass with us. - Hailey Trefethen.

On Saturday, September 26th, we’re heading into Hillspring Vineyard for a day dedicated entirely to our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. Walk the vineyard where every vintage of HāLo begins, taste through library vintages, then gather around the table for an intimate meal prepared by Winery Chef Chris Kennedy alongside a member of the Trefethen family.

Some things are worth the wait, and harvest is one of them! Since we're 100% estate-grown, that means we get to pick precisely when we want to, and it makes all the difference.

Thanks to our cool Oak Knoll District climate, we get one of the longest harvest seasons in Napa Valley. Starting with Riesling and Chardonnay and finishing with Cabernet Sauvignon, every grape gets exactly the time it needs. A longer season means more time to develop the depth and character we're known for.

Meet Tallulah, estate puppy in training. 🐾

In case you missed it: the Trefethen family just got a new member, and she is already settling in like she has been here for years. Tallulah has spent her first days exploring every corner of the estate and charming every human who crosses her path, which, so far, is all of them.

It’s Pinot Noir Day, and this grape is often the one we kick harvest off with each year! We pick these grapes first to lock in the acidity, brightness, and freshness you love so much about our S.I.N. Rosé.

So yes, the Pinot Noir in this bin will be gracing our glasses next summer as Rosé. And if you can’t wait that long, it’s time to pop a bottle of the 2025 S.I.N. with us.

When you see the 2026 vintage while it's actually happening, that glass of wine you drink in a few years is going to have a whole different meaning!

Our team agrees: it's the best time to visit us. Harvest is here, the energy in Napa Valley is different right now, and you're going to want to come back for it. Vines are full, things are buzzing, and something's always happening.
