I'm finally back on social media after a lovely break over the holidays. I spent time reflecting on 2018 and how grateful I am for my clients, the support from this community and for the referrals from all of you. Thank you!

From 86 to 46 degrees in a matter of a few days...are you ready? Even though my client and I were sweating as we walked between stores yesterday, we completed her wardrobe for fall and winter!

Here’s a peek at her fall top capsule (she purchased most of these pieces). We added a few toppers, a dress and some of the jewelry pieces posted here. She was all set with shoes and pants/skirts from our fall/winter shopping last year.

The best part of all? My client was telling me how she consistently receives compliments on her outfits and it is such a confidence boost for her.

Last month, I with speaking with my client about the process of working with a personal stylist. I asked her if she would mind writing a little bit about our experience working together over the past year. Well, I’m humbled at her kindness, there’s no doubt. But I am hopeful this will give a little insight to what I do and how I may be able to help you, too!

Here are her words (thank you, N!😘):

“I have always loved shopping and have never really had any trouble finding clothes I like to wear. But then I started feeling blah about all of my clothes and wasn’t shopping anymore. I was in a shopping rut! When I was ready to get out of my rut, I called Jill! She has been an absolute God send! As a working professional who is also going back to school, I don’t have a lot of time to shop anymore. Jill worked around my schedule and was super flexible! To address my fashion rut, Jill came to my house and did a closet edit. She helped me see I have a lot of great options already in my closet, but that I could use an updated spring/summer look. Jill pre-shopped before our appointment so that our time together was well spent! She found so many great looks for me...I was complimented all summer! I am excited for the fall with my versatile outfits from the Nordstrom sale, thanks to Jill! The sale always overwhelms me, but not with Jill! 💗❤️Loving all the red and hot pink splashes that are carrying into fall/early winter fashion. I’m seeing lots of brights mixed in, along with plenty mustard, olives, and terracotta for those who love the earthy tones. What’s your favorite color trend this Fall?❤️💗

Move over plaid and florals (although they are still EVERYWHERE and I love them)...Trending patterns for fall include camo and polka dots! I'm seeing both patterns everywhere and cannot get enough.

Camo has always been a favorite of mine, but I only recently added two pieces to my fall/winter wardrobe (see one of them in my travel photo from last week).

Today, I stumbled on this hoodie (on SALE!) and now can't stop thinking about it. I love that it can be both outerwear or part of an outfit.

In a post coming soon, I will talk about what colors go well with camo, as it seems to be a stumbling block for some of my clients.

I know that camo can be polarizing! I would love to hear your thoughts. Yay or Nay? How about polka dots?

Honestly, sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is my job.... Yesterday I had the pleasure of shopping with these two lovely women!

This duo is so very special. We laughed and enjoyed every minute! What a 💖JOY💖.

We shopped for Sara - a senior in high school. She is truly one of the most confident, mature and enlightened young women I have ever met.

Prior to shopping, I talked to her about her style, her likes/dislikes, and her ideas.

She came away with some great pieces that she can mix and match to her hearts content!

What a generous and thoughtful gift that will keep on giving, Charlene.💗

Over the years, clients have asked me how/when I edit my closet.

My method is simple. Twice a year, I switch my closet for the season (Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer). At that time, I purge ay pieces that I haven't worn, I don't love, or feel tired.

In addition to this, I also edit pieces on a daily basis. At the end of each day, if there is a clothing item, accessory, or pair of shoes that is not working for me any longer, I put them in a donation bag.

I find this really helpful and takes the burden off of leaving it all to do at once.
