McHutchison is excited to welcome Don Golema to the team as the new Southern California sales representative!

Don has more than a decade of experience in business development and enterprise account management across the precision agriculture and emerging technology sectors. Most recently, Golema supported the horticulture lighting segment with Philips Lighting and Signify, where he worked closely with growers and industry partners to advance innovative solutions for horticulture production.

“What stands out the most about Don is his authentic and engaging approach to business,” said Ken Turrentine, President of McHutchison. “He is known for building strong relationships, leading with integrity and maintaining a genuine curiosity about both customers and the industry. This week, the McHutchison team gathered in Naperville for our annual company meeting, 'Rooted & Rising 2026'.

Last year marked 'A Brand New Day' as we came together under one unified McHutchison brand. This year's theme, 'Rooted & Rising', reflects our next chapter—strengthening the relationships that have always been at the heart of our business while continuing to grow, innovate, and invest in the future.

Over two days, our team:
🌱 Connected with colleagues from across the company.
🤝 Collaborated with our valued vendor partners.
💡 Learned about new products, programs, and opportunities.
❤️ Gave back through our volunteer event at Feed My Starving Children.
🏆 Celebrated the accomplishments of our people during our annual awards banquet.

Thank you to our employees, vendor partners, and everyone who helped make this year's meeting such a success. The ideas shared, relationships strengthened, and memories made over the past two days will continue to shape the year ahead.

Last night, our team, along with several of our valued vendor partners, spent the evening volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. Together, we helped pack meals that will provide nourishment and hope to children and families facing hunger around the world.

It was an incredible opportunity to step away from our daily routines, work side-by-side for a greater purpose, and make a meaningful impact beyond our industry.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and to Feed My Starving Children for the important work they do every day. We’re proud to partner with organizations and people who share a commitment to serving others and strengthening communities.

AIDEN BLANCO is our new SOFTWARE DEVELOPER for McHutchison, filling a much-needed role for the company. Aiden's background is in the software development life cycle, object-oriented languages, BI and large language models (AI).

TAYLOR GENTRY is our new BUSINESS DATA INTEGRATION SPECIALIST! Taylor brings proven experience in data governance, data management, and a strong track record of supporting system transitions, data cleanup, and vendor catalog accuracy.

We are excited to introduce three new McHutchison Team Members!

BETH ENGLE is joining our CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM! Beth has decades of experience in the horticulture industry and is widely recognized for her plant knowledge and relationship-driven service approach. Engle is known for thoughtful communication and practical problem-solving that supports long-term customer success.

SAMIRA KUYKENDALL is our new CLAIMS SPECIALIST who is supporting the Greenhouse Sales Team. Samira brings a customer-focused approach to consistently deliver responsive service and provide clear communication. Her background in business operations aligns with McHutchison’s goal of elevating the credits and claims function.

ISAAC LASTER is our new SALES REPRESENTATIVE covering Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma! Isaac will work closely with Tim Meyers, who is retiring this fall. Prior to joining McHutchison, Laster gained sales experience at WestRock, Riococo and BFG.
