On Friday, eight of our Clear Water Pools lifeguards and managers proudly represented our company at the Northern Illinois Lifeguard Games, hosted by the Illinois Parks & Recreation Association (IPRA) at the beautiful GH20 Aquatic Center in Glendale Heights.

We sent two teams to compete against some of the most talented lifeguard teams from park districts and aquatic facilities across Northern Illinois, and they represented Clear Water Pools with professionalism, confidence, and heart.

The Northern Illinois Lifeguard Games are more than a competition—they're an opportunity for lifeguards to test their skills, build friendships, and learn alongside some of the best aquatics professionals in the region.

At Clear Water Pools, our mission has never been to simply train lifeguards. We strive to develop leaders who are prepared to make a difference when lives depend on them.

From CPR and rescue scenarios to endurance events and team challenges, our athletes demonstrated the confidence, communication, teamwork, and professionalism that define who we are as an organization.

Watching these eight compete reminded us why we invest so heavily in training—not just to create exceptional lifeguards, but to develop confident young men and women who lead with courage, character, and compassion.

To our competitors: thank you for representing Clear Water Pools with integrity, determination, and pride. You made your teammates, your managers, and the entire Clear Water family incredibly proud.

A sincere thank you to the Illinois Parks & Recreation Association, the event organizers, volunteers, officials, and the staff at GH20 Aquatic Center for hosting such a first-class event. Throughout the day, they demonstrated the professionalism, confidence, teamwork, and determination that have become the foundation of our training program.

The Northern Illinois Lifeguard Games are about much more than competition. They provide an opportunity for lifeguards to challenge themselves, sharpen their lifesaving skills, build friendships with other aquatics professionals, and celebrate a profession dedicated to protecting others.

At Clear Water Pools, our mission has never been to simply train lifeguards.

Our mission is to develop leaders.

Every in-service, every rescue drill, every CPR scenario, every spinal rescue, every fitness workout, and every conversation about leadership is designed with one purpose in mind—to prepare our team to respond with confidence when someone else's life depends on them.

Watching these eight compete was a reminder that the investment we make in our people extends far beyond a single competition. We saw young men and women communicating under pressure, encouraging one another, solving problems as a team, and confidently applying the skills they have spent months developing.

While we are incredibly proud of how they performed, we are even more proud of who they have become.

To our eight competitors—thank you for representing Clear Water Pools with integrity, determination, humility, and pride. You represented our company exceptionally well, and you made your teammates, your managers, your families, and the entire Clear Water Pools family proud.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Illinois Parks & Recreation Association, the event organizers, volunteers, officials, and the staff at GH20 Aquatic Center for hosting another outstanding event. Opportunities like these strengthen the aquatics profession and inspire the next generation of lifeguard leaders.

Train Like What You Do Matters… Because It Does.

Today our lifeguards had the incredible opportunity to train side-by-side with the Naperville Fire Department during a full-scale aquatic cardiac arrest simulation.

From the initial rescue and CPR, to AED deployment, spinal care, and finally transferring patient care to EMS, our guards experienced what a real emergency response looks and feels like. They didn't just practice their own skills—they learned exactly how emergency medical services integrate into our rescue protocols and what happens after we hand a patient over.

These opportunities are invaluable. Building relationships with our local first responders, improving communication, and understanding each other's roles ultimately leads to a faster, more coordinated response when every second matters.

A huge thank you to the men and women of the Naperville Fire Department for investing their time, expertise, and equipment to help train the next generation of aquatic professionals. Your willingness to partner with us provides an experience that simply can't be replicated in a classroom.

At Clear Water Pools, we believe training should prepare our guards for the moments that matter most.

Today our lifeguards participated in an in-service training with the Huntley Fire Department, giving our team the opportunity to experience a full-scale emergency response scenario and see firsthand how EMS integrates into a rescue from the moment they arrive on scene.

From patient assessment and airway management to advanced life support and transport preparation, our guards gained valuable insight into the critical role EMS plays during a serious aquatic emergency. Training alongside emergency responders helps our staff better understand their role in the chain of survival and reinforces the importance of teamwork, communication, and preparedness.

A huge thank you to the Huntley Fire Department for taking the time to partner with us and invest in the development of our team. We are grateful for your willingness to share your expertise and help our guards become better prepared to protect the communities we serve.
