Labor-intensive position that sorts recyclable materials on conveyor belts & bins, general maintenance and cleaning of warehouse, baler, equipment, property and properly instruct customers with their recycling and trash drop offs.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Identify, sort and separate materials into appropriate containers or conveyor belts for recycling

· Operate balers to compress recyclable material into bundles or bales

· Operate forklift/loaders in a safe, efficient manner

· Operate forklifts safely to load cardboard bales onto semi-trucks for shipping to other recycled materials processing facilities

· Keep recycle plant clean and safe by sweeping, picking up loose debris, and maneuvering barrels and bins into proper containers.

· Directs customers and drivers to proper loading/unloading areas

· Assists customers and drivers with unloading recyclable materials

· Fuel vehicles and equipment

· Perform yard work, including mowing, trimming, & edging

· Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting

· Keep production logs as directed

Job Requirements

· 18 Years of Age

· Read/Speak English

· Maintain an acceptable level of attendance

· Forklift certification, experience running equipment is a plus (forklift, loader, baler, sweeper, or other equipment)

· Push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 lbs throughout the shift

· Able to constantly stand, bend, crouch, twist, lift and stoop throughout the shift

· Ability and willing to work in all weather conditions and be able to work in non-climate controlled facility

· Able to work in an industrial environment that is noisy, high traffic production floor

· Able to perform specific duties with instructions but without direct supervision

· Be able to follow safe operation practices

· Be able to work well with people in a team environment

POSITION SUMMARY: A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating a roll off truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a CDL roll off driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle.
--Secure containers by attaching hook to container; uses control levers to pull container up on the bed of the truck, secures straps and tarp individual containers as necessary.
-Provides Distinguishable Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals.
-Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspect/Clean Truck: Lift hood, inspect under the hood, walk around and check under carriage; pump fuel, check fluid levels and air tires - Uses air gauge, dipstick for levels, and gas pump nozzle for fuel fill.
-Responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with DOT and company standards.
-Completes daily vehicle condition reports to ensure that all vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the the state of Florida. Requires a clean driving record.
-Must be at least 21 years of age or older w 2 yrs minimum CDL License
-Understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
-Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
-Maintain written records
-Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals and be able to make legible entries on paperwork

Reliable Disposal & Recycling is looking for a dispatch assistant and data entry person to join our expanding team. This position will process incoming service orders, schedule services, direct drivers, resolve service issues, manage scale transactions, and complete daily routing data entry.
Job Duties
• Assist dispatch to build efficient routes to ensure that pickups and deliveries are made in a timely fashion, by analyzing and prioritizing workload.
• Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts to dispatch runs and address any routing issues they might have
• Answering customer phone calls, email inquiries, and update customers on their ETA’s on deliveries or pickups.
• Manage incoming scale transactions and entering the scale tickets into our MAIN program. Charge credit cards when needed.
• Maintain data in TRUX, our trucking software system, by entering customer information, entering customer orders into dispatch system, reviewing and entering route paperwork from drivers, verifying all dump tickets, and close work orders from previous day routes. Identify and correct any issues with driver route paperwork.
• Other special projects or duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience within the Waste industry, transportation, or logistics is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year dispatch experience
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities
• Bilingual Preferred
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
• Great customer service skills to deal with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to react well under pressure and treat others with respect
• Computer skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), TRUX software experience a plus
