Meet Kim Byrne our CFO & CTO— The Woman Who Maps the Future, Builds Empires, and Gets It Done.

Kim Byrne doesn’t just dream big — she delivers big. A visionary operator, integrator, and tech-savvy powerhouse based in Vermont, Kim combines an MBA, a degree in Land Use Planning, and over 20 years of experience turning chaos into clarity across infrastructure, business, and technology.

Her career began in the world of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), where she mapped zoning data for every single town in Connecticut — making it possible for people to click on a town website today and instantly view property data. (You’re welcome, Connecticut.)

But that was just the warm-up. Kim went on to help literally reshape a city. In Hartford, CT, she spearheaded redevelopment efforts that brought in major grants, revitalized the North End, built a state-of-the-art transportation system, and even led the charge to bring the beloved Yard Goats stadium to life. If you’ve ever caught a game or admired the new landscape along Albany Ave, you’ve seen Kim’s work in action.

At Eversource Energy, New England’s largest energy company, Kim led the digital revolution—transforming the company’s entire operations from paper maps to tablets. Thanks to her, over 1 million utility poles are now mapped to within 3 feet, meaning faster storm response, smarter repairs, and power restoration that no longer requires a paper trail the size of a small forest.

Today, Kim is the co-founder and Vice President of Call The Brands, a fast-scaling network of home service companies changing the game in Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical services. She and her husband, Ken, co-launched Call The Bee in 2020 and Call The Whale in 2023—both of which became top-tier home service brands almost overnight.

Who is Kenny Byrne and What has he Accomplished?

Kenny Byrne is the Founder and CEO of Call The Brands, a visionary organization dedicated to building and scaling high-performing HVAC, plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical businesses throughout the United States of America.

Kenny began his career with a significant milestone, becoming the youngest individual in Connecticut history to obtain the state’s highest HVAC contractor’s license in 2002, a record he still holds today.

In 2004, he founded County Wide Mechanical Service, establishing a thriving commercial HVAC service and construction company. Under his leadership, County Wide Mechanical grew to $5.4 million in revenue by 2015. In a bold strategic pivot, Kenny transitioned the business from commercial to residential work, replacing $5.4 million in commercial revenue with $5.4 million in residential revenue within just 12 months. By 2018, the company surpassed $12 million in annual sales and earned the inaugural ServiceTitan Contractor of the Year Award, recognizing Kenny’s success in integrating a sales pricebook and streamlined processes into the ServiceTitan software platform prior to exiting the business.

In 2018, Kenny was recruited by a fellow Nexstar Network member to join their Philadelphia-based electrical company, tasked with adding HVAC services and securing a plumbing contractor’s license. Within just two years, he successfully launched a fully operational HVAC division, obtained the Master Plumbing License, and helped scale the business from $5 million to $18 million in annual revenue, before exiting in 2020.

In 2020, Kenny founded Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical, the first in the “Call The Brands” family. He grew the business from $0 to $8 million in just 30 months, building a fully trained leadership team before exiting in 2023. Today, Call The Bee has become the leading home service company in Connecticut, generating over $40 million in annual revenue. The business has received numerous honors, including:
• Top Contractor of the Year Award (3 consecutive years) from Energize CT
• Top Contractor of the Year Award from Goodman Manufacturing
• Top Contractor of the Year Award from Bosch Technologies

Call The Bee has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement as a major sponsor of the Hartford Yard Goats, Connecticut’s Minor League Baseball team.

In 2023, Kenny launched Call The Whale, the second brand under the Call The Brands umbrella, initially deploying it in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Recognizing that market conditions were not optimal, he swiftly relocated operations to Northern Vermont. There, Call The Whale has flourished, scaling from $0 to $4 million in its first 12 months, quickly establishing itself as the trusted provider in the market. The company is now a major sponsor of the Vermont Lake Monsters, furthering Kenny’s vision of community-focused business development.
