Graphic design is so rooted in color, but getting the right shade is often challenging. Color is what defines a brand, and serves as a visual representation and reminder to others...so it should be easy to pick right? Blue is blue, purple is purple and there are no major differences in shades.

Unfortunately, that is not quite true. The truth is, graphic design provides more options for color than ever before, which means you have a lot more choice when it comes to choosing what is right for you. Understanding the differences in options, such as CMYK or Pantone can really help narrow down choices for which color is right for your brand.
