A friend of mine was doing well selling on etsy,

(like 30k/mo in revenue selling $4 stickers)

As all etsy sellers know,
The platform sucks.

They take huge margins out of your profits and can shut you down in the click of a button.

(โ€ฆwhich is what ended up happening to my friend)

So I helped him start up a shopify store and taught him some ads.

3 weeks after starting the new store he's already pacing a 1M/year run-rate. (3x more than his Etsy shop was doing)

And we've hardly even scratched the surface of ecom.

Will easily have a 2-3M/year store as long as he can keep fulfillment up.

Now he 'could' be an anomaly.

But he's not lol.

The truth is, if you have products selling well on Etsy,

You can sell more and scale faster on Shopify.

Creating REAL Urgency in Sales

Let's be real...

We've all heard that creating urgency or scarcity in the sales process makes people more likely to buy.

But I think it's important to distinguish the difference between real and fake urgency.

Urgency is NOT created by:

โŒ Countdown timers
โŒ Limited spots in your group program
REAL urgency is created by selling to your buyers' pain points and truly solving their problem.

For Example...
1๏ธโƒฃA business wouldn't hire a videographer because the videographer has 2 spots left on the calendar this month,

The real urgency is that if they don't get a marketing video made to attract new customers, they may have to close down their business in the next few months. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

2๏ธโƒฃ A woman interested in buying a nice necklace from your website isn't going to pull the trigger because of the timer on the checkout page,

The real urgency is if that the woman is about to go on her first date with a guy she's trying to impress and needs to make sure she gets it shipped to her on time!

3๏ธโƒฃ People don't hire me because they want to build their business more today.

They real urgency is that they can't handle anymore stress, uncertainty or overwhelm of trying to scale their profits on their own.

Obviously the above are just examples, but hopefully you can understand that there is a MAJOR difference of 'fake urgency' and real urgency.

Design your messaging around buyers real pain points and you'll yield way more profit :)
