In a show of force equal to the problem at hand, both the Education Secretary and the Homeland Security Secretary were featured guests.

The lessons of the past year teach us what to expect in the year ahead. In terms of risks, this means more of the same but likely worse. Phishing scams will get more sophisticated, ransomware attacks will be more targeted, and cyber insurance will be more difficult to navigate. As ever, the best defenses are preparation, prevention, and employee education.
