A couple years ago Kristen introduced me to this incredible human, Erik Kelly! He is one the most positive, encouraging, and grateful people I know!

We even teamed up with him at one time and created the Sunrise Gratitude Challenge!

A couple months ago I was absolutely honored when he asked if he could interview me for his podcast!

It’s just me, being open and honest about the changes in my life, and the power of realizing happiness is a choice.

I’m sharing because I believe that the things we go through are on purpose so we can relate better and be able to help others go through similar things.

Everyone has a story!

I was looking at these pics and seeing what a difference getting my hair done does for me and it spun me into some thoughts….

I have always tried to look my best… or get approval so I feel better… about me.

I think a lot of us do this.

But for who? From who?

There is one thing I have finally learned.
The only approval I need to feel good about me .. is my own.

And what an incredible feeling that is.

You know what else feels good?

The genuine smile on my face. Walking with my head up because I’m proud of who I am.
Knowing I am exactly who God made me to be.
Choosing ME every single day.
And the ability to make other people smile.

People have enjoyed talking about me my whole life.
Clearly I’m a pretty big deal 🤷‍♀️ 🤣
And it used to break me.
Now I continue to smile and be grateful.
As long as the talk is about me, they aren’t taking about someone else.

So I’ll keep being me… and giving people something to talk about! 😃

It’s amazing what happens when you make good choices! The power of positivity and making promises to YOURSELF and KEEPING them!!! I never even saw myself as the person on the left. It was of my daughter and I laughing together and I seemed happy “enough” in my own skin. But when I actually saw this 😳 it certainly opened my eyes to how unhealthy my life choices were. I decided to make major changes and I’m so damn proud of myself!!
I love who I am! And I love who I am still becoming!! Each day I am finding my feathers! I’m building my own wings! And I’m going to fly! 🪶🪶🪶

What an incredible morning! ☀️

A year ago I may have still been downtown in Nashville but only because I was still drinking!

Wow how everything has changed 💛

☀️Jumped in the car to get downtown to catch pictures of the sunrise.
☀️ Heart, soul and mind filled up by every ray of sunshine as our morning turned into another unexpected FUN adventure!

I’m so proud of the changes I have made to become the best version of myself!!
I love taking care of me and learning to love who I am!!

Not only did we get pics of the sunrise, we got in our 5K walk for the day, filmed a quick music video, and we took time to be still and be grateful!!

I’m so thankful for new beginnings and the ability to write our own stories.
