We officially brought our LSS Educators Course to New York for the first time, partnering with leaders at Broome-Tioga BOCES to tackle Green Belt curriculum.

Teachers representing several industries (including cosmetology, culinary, health science, and welding) gathered in Binghamton, bringing incredible energy to the table.

When it came time for the simulation, this group's resourcefulness was unmatched. They engineered a precise stopping point for their cars using .

The data spoke volumes: their simple, creative fix resulted in the lowest variation (SD) we have ever recorded for this activity. By the final round, they cut waste by more than half, locking in a highly capable and controllable process. The intense rhythm and focus during that final roll was unforgettable!

Earning a Green Belt is demanding, and this framework throws a lot of heavy concepts at you. What stood out most wasn't just the data, but how deeply engaged this group remained through the challenges. We know they’re going to take these tools home to inspire not just their students, but their families as well.

Huge thanks to BT BOCES for being a phenomenal first stop in New York. We loved our time in Binghamton and can't wait to see the impact these educators make this upcoming school year!

This summer’s first Green Belt course at the WCS Entrepreneurship and Innovation Campus marked another milestone in our ongoing adventure to inspire educators across the country.

Tennessee teachers from across Clarksville Montgomery County School System, Williamson County Schools, and Wilson County Schools joined us in the Franklin's brand-new Innovation Center. We’re grateful for their hospitality and excited to see how these educators bring Yellow Belt principles to life in their classrooms in the next school year.

This group embodied the spirit of through creativity and collaboration. For their course simulation, they introduced a unique twist to improve flow and reduce variation — an idea that came straight from one of the teachers. After class he went home, brainstormed solutions with his son, then returned with new supplies and a hypothesis to test...

The result? Those simple additions led to a measurable reduction in defects and more consistent performance across teams with each pilot round. The final simulation had significant improvements in both quality and production times - a controllable and capable process!

This is a perfect reminder that improvement isn’t just about tools; it’s about curiosity, resourcefulness, and the courage to experiment.
