Communities are strongest when local leaders are empowered to lead. At the 2026 Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum, Silicon Ranch's Karina Rovey moderated a discussion with educators and industry leaders on how programs like help connect students to real-world renewable energy projects, strengthen energy literacy, and create lasting community impact.

Thank you to Laura Byassee, Chandra Maclin, and Anjali Balakrishna for sharing their insights and experiences.

This week at Imagine IF in Nashville, our Chief Commercial Officer Matt Beasley joined leaders from the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association, and Congress for a discussion on powering the Intelligence Age. The conversation focused on meeting growing energy demand by expanding generation, improving grid infrastructure, maintaining affordability, and accelerating deployment.

For Silicon Ranch, that means advancing solar and battery storage as part of a diverse, reliable energy mix and working alongside utilities, policymakers, and communities to meet this moment with urgency.

Thanks to Imagine IF and our fellow panelists for a thoughtful conversation about what the Valley can build next.

What if one of humanity's oldest professions could help shape the future of energy?

In the first episode of her new series, People Trying, Anna Sale sits down with Tyler Huber, Silicon Ranch's Senior Manager of Agrivoltaics Operations, to discuss how agrivoltaics is creating new opportunities at the intersection of agriculture and energy, including the revival of American shepherding as an important part of land stewardship.

It's a fascinating conversation about innovation and the people finding creative ways to work with the land while generating renewable energy.

Last week at , Loran Shallenberger, our VP of & Agrivoltaics, joined What Works in Agrisolar: Lessons from the Field and Local Communities, a breakout panel sponsored by CleanCounts.

The discussion highlighted a simple but important truth: successful agrivoltaic projects are built through collaboration with landowners, farmers, and local communities. From livestock grazing and pollinator habitat to land stewardship, panelists shared practical examples of how agriculture and solar energy can, and already do, work together to create long-term, multi-value outcomes.

We were also proud to support the event's menu by providing lamb raised at our DeSoto Solar Farm.

We are proud to share that Clearloop and Jackson-Madison County Schools' Energize STEM: Powering Tennessee's Next Generation program has been recognized with the 2026 Tennessee Governor's Environmental Stewardship Award for Environmental Education and Outreach, one of the state's highest honors for environmental leadership and conservation.

Presented by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the Governor's Environmental Stewardship Awards recognize outstanding achievements that advance environmental protection, stewardship, and public awareness across Tennessee.

Developed by Clearloop and the Jackson-Madison County School System in partnership with Silicon Ranch and KidWind Project, Energize STEM connects renewable energy infrastructure directly to classroom learning. Through teacher training, hands-on educational resources, and real-world insights into the 1 MW Silicon Ranch Jackson II solar project, students gain valuable insight into how clean energy works and the role it can play in their communities.

Since its launch, the program has:
☀️ Engaged 80 teachers across 23 schools and 3 states
☀️ Reached thousands of students across Tennessee
☀️ Expanded across West TN from Jackson to Haywood County and beyond
☀️ Supported schools advancing toward Tennessee STEM School Designation

We're grateful to our partners, educators, and school leaders whose commitment to students continues to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and environmental stewards.

Congratulations to everyone who has helped make Energize STEM a success and thank you to TDEC for this tremendous honor.

Earlier this month, Silicon Ranch's Chairman of the Board Matt Kisber delivered the keynote address at Vanderbilt University's inaugural VSEC Symposium, which convened leaders from academia, industry, government, and the nonprofit sector to explore how energy technologies can be integrated across multiple scales to build a more resilient, reliable, and decarbonized energy future.

This year's symposium, "Integrating Energy Sources Across Multiple Scales," examined the opportunities and challenges that emerge when energy solutions designed for one application are adapted to another, from distributed energy resources and storage technologies to grid-scale infrastructure and emerging innovations.

Matt shared perspectives on the importance of connecting innovation with implementation, highlighting the critical role collaboration plays in advancing energy systems that are adaptable, resilient, and capable of meeting growing demand while creating lasting value for communities.

Thank you to the Vanderbilt Center for Sustainability, Energy, and Climate for fostering these important conversations and bringing together diverse voices to help shape the future of energy.

What a day in Carroll County!

Last week, alongside our partners at Carroll County Electric Department, local leaders, educators, students, community members, and the dedicated CCED linemen who brave every condition to keep the lights on, we celebrated our Trezevant Solar Farm with a Flip-the-Switch.

We were especially proud to welcome nearly 100 students for a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and to discuss how our Regenerative Energy® approach allows us to pair energy production with responsible land stewardship and new opportunities for local agriculture.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to mark this important milestone.

🎙️ A new episode of Silicon Ranch Radio is live now on all major podcast platforms.

In this episode, host Nick de Vries sits down with soil scientist Dr. Taylor Bacon to explore a question at the heart of Silicon Ranch's CattleTracker™ research: How can we know that solar grazing is actually good for the land?

Drawing on four years of research studying soils and ecosystems beneath working solar energy systems, Taylor shares what science is revealing about the relationship between renewable energy, livestock grazing, and healthy ecosystems. It's a fascinating conversation about curiosity, discovery, and how data can help guide more sustainable land stewardship.

"We founded Silicon Ranch based on a deep commitment to pair American-made energy with economic development and agricultural production. Over the past few years, we have worked closely with stakeholders in Jefferson and Warren Counties to understand their priorities, discuss the value of these projects to local infrastructure and the local economy, and ensure our investments align with each community's vision for the future," said Silicon Ranch Co-Founder, President, and CEO, Reagan Farr. "Our mission has always been to leverage our investments to promote energy independence and help rural communities become stronger, healthier, and more resilient. To date, we have invested or committed to invest nearly $5 billion in the state of Georgia, and we are proud to develop these latest projects as part of Georgia Power's 2025 CARES program, further expanding our meaningful legacy here."

We’re proud to announce that we are developing two new solar projects in Georgia, further supporting the state’s growing energy needs through Georgia Power’s Clean and Renewable Energy Subscription (CARES) program.

As the long-term owner and operator of these projects, we look forward to investing in both communities, strengthening local grid reliability, creating new sources of tax revenue, advancing American energy independence through the use of American-made equipment, and exploring new opportunities for local family farms and aspiring ranchers through our Regenerative Energy® agribusiness.
