I removed “work hard” from my vocabulary and my nervous system went haywire.

I stressed because I couldn’t make it easy and my beliefs about hard work meant I felt lazy.

Until I redefined what it actually took to make things work.

Effort.

It doesn’t have to be hard.
It isn’t always easy.
But it can be that simple.

It’s all about the RIGHT KIND of effort too.

If you’re someone who is forcing yourself through “hard work” that looks like operating 20 hours a day. Stop.

If you’re someone who is working hard at writing but you don’t enjoy it and it doesn’t fit your style. Stop.

If you’re trying to force anything, just frickin stop.

We make this harder than it has to be.

And we don’t need to shame rest or effort — but “working hard” is not required and actually trips up a lot of work.

It’s the right kind of effort that gets you where you want in entrepreneurship.

You can work hard and not make a dime to hold onto. You can rest and make thousands.

(Plus human design-wise, there are people who don’t function well in the grind.)

It’s all about harmony and that’s individualistic.

When I started shifting into a life, the whole “It gets to be easy” tripped me up. It actually confuses a lot of us.

— it’s not that it’s always going to be easy. It’s that we make it harder on ourselves than it needs to be — turning hard work/hustle/grind mentality into burnout and incorrect effort.

Effort is required. (The right kind of effort which can be figured out by understanding yourself more — like your masculine and feminine energy or your Human Design type).

I have so much more on this topic but first, tell me in the comments if this is something you’ve struggled with 👇

✨Integration is the steps we take to embody the messages, knowledge and intuitive understandings we receive.

I’m an avid information-seeker.

Ever since I was young, I wanted to understand why people do the things they do, how to do this thing or that thing, and uncover the lost answers so many seemed to be missing.

I craved a deep understanding of the world.

It wasn’t until recently that I realized my insatiable need for knowledge craved an outlet.

I desired contribution, but I also recognized a gap between the knowledge I was absorbing and my own life.

👉🏼 I would apply some things and not others
👉🏼I’d race through self help books but never fully implement the teachings
👉🏼I loaded up journal after journal with my thoughts and realizations but would never fully share how these things I learned were embodied in my life.

And I wasn’t alone.

I didn’t need more information all the time. I needed INTEGRATION through implementation and deep rooted acceptance.

👉🏼 The age of information is shifting dramatically to one of action and implementation, of true integration.

After that comes the true embodiment age.

▫️Your business: recognize where you might be adding more information instead of integration experiences.
▫️Your life: Review what you’ve learned about and start subtracting or adding based on those lessons.

Our morals guide us, but remember to check your self once in a while.

While it might seem like you’re always right, that’s the ego validating you.

And sometimes even when we are morally right, the way we express that is not.

We forget to hold space for people’s growth and understand where they’re coming from even if we don’t agree with it.

We forget to put ourselves in their shoes and wonder if that was happening to us, how would we react?

Simple fix? Take a deep breath. Check in. Don’t look for validation. Ask how you can express this better, in a healthier way.

They create the disease so they can sell the cure.⁣

It’s not medicine, it’s marketing.⁣

(The bad side of marketing.)⁣

The thing is, we’ve felt a certain way for so long, we just want an answer to why we experience this or why we feel this way because then we have some control.⁣

So they give us the answer.⁣

Then hand us a pill.⁣

Anxiety... ADD... ⁣

✨ Understand this — The feelings exist, your experience is real, but don’t listen to them when they try to label you as broken and give you a quick fix.⁣

The cure is not theirs to give.⁣

Society created circumstances — stressful living, horrible environments, debt-based options, instant gratification services — that triggered an emotional response, then your perception eroded to accept the new reality, and responded with constrictions in the chest or the inability to concentrate.⁣

Advertisers built campaigns, crafted new words and conditions then fed them to us, to the medical industry. Why?⁣

Because if they say that you’re messed up then hand you the cure, they make money from it. 🤑⁣

Because they don’t want you to know the truth...⁣
⁣.. that almost everything “wrong” with you can be realigned by YOU.⁣

You have the power. ⁣

You are powerful.⁣

And all you need to do is turn inward. ⁣

Start accepting, being honest with yourself, and expressing your truth. ⁣

Start realizing there’s nothing wrong with you.⁣

Removing the layers of bu****it they labeled you with. ⁣

You are powerful, love, and once you realize that, you’re a threat to their society... and they’ll do everything they can to stop you.⁣

Ignore the marketing plans that try to get you.⁣

Believe in yourself like I do.⁣

:: 8 Things Reveals About Life ::

🎭 Everyone is wearing a costume. This is just the day that it’s obvious.

And they’re so normal we can’t even see them anymore. They’ve become like a second skin, but removing them makes it so much easier to breathe.

🎃 The feeling is more important than any treat you may get.

Who else loves fall? The warm beverages and cozy boots, the sweaters and scarves. Falling leaves and warming colors that make you want to hunker down and spend the day in ease.

🤗 Frivolity isn’t just for children.

Play. Laugh. Be silly. You may not get a snickers but the feeling of freedom is a whole lot sweeter.

👸🏽 You don’t have to dress up as someone else to be amazing.

Your intuitive self is more magic and badass beauty than you know. It’s time to take off the mask and reveal yourself to the world — you don’t need to hide from the demons anymore.

🍁 Transitions can be beautiful awakenings. As the leaves fall and summer fades, we feel a calm settle over the Earth.

Autumn is a time for shedding what worked and snuggling into our space for ease and tranquility. It’s the time to warm ourselves in what makes us feel whole as we prepare to strip away the warmth and burrow down for winter.

✨ There’s more magic in the air than we like to believe.

Old magic. Beginning of time and tenured soul magic that wakes your inner witch and welcomes you into the reality that everything you want is just within reach.

🕕 Everything has cycles and it’s time we honor that truth — in ourselves and our society.

We cannot push against Fall, or Winter, or Spring, or Summer. These seasons come and go without our direction and they do so as they please. Our bodies have natural cycles, too, and the more you honor them, the more they serve you.

🎉 There’s always time for celebration.

We wait until days like this. We wait for the days they set up to celebrate, but sharing our wins need not come with tricks and treats, or even presents.

Share how you frolick and play, the neat stuff from day to day. And dress up often, feel good in your skin. The monsters come out to play when you ignore the genius within.

:: You have to make it effortless ::

I used to overcomplicate, overthink and overdo into exhaustion.

My thoughts were more exhausting than doing the tasks itself — but today I had an epiphany.

✨ Make it effortless.

I’ve been struggling lately with sitting my butt down and doing the work, showing up for my writing in a way that felt “enough”.

I was doing everything right —
👉🏼 Giving myself space and time to breathe.
👉🏼 Following a structured but not strangling routine that was actually working quite nicely.
👉🏼 Sleeping and resting as much as my body needed.
👉🏼 Meditating, journaling, morning walks, and plenty of time in the sunshine amongst the trees.

— and yet I could write those articles I wanted to. I couldn’t function at all.

Because I was making it too complicated. (Even though I didn’t think I was.)

So I spoke to my intuition, breathed deep into a 25 minute meditation and heard a voice say, “Your true desire is effortless ease.”

You see, I held this belief (for a while) that it would take a lot of effort... and effort meant exhaustion.

(If that’s not a trauma story rearing it’s wounded heart, I don’t know what is.)

I had to make it practically effortless.

And I went back into my reference files of a time when I had this — my exercise classes, which I love oh-so freakin much.

I love going to exercise classes because I don’t have to think about what I want to do, where I need to be, or what time I have to show up. There’s a variety, and a social aspect that fills many of my needs, so all I have to do is click “book” look and my calendar and go.

I can be free, creative, and fun inside that time, and I know once I’m done, I’m one step closer to reaching a goal.

To apply that to my writing, I needed:
✨ A safe container I could show up in.
✨ A structure already set up for me to follow.
✨ A social aspect that puts me out there.
✨ A transition to and from that ritual so my mind had a clear definition of priority during that time.
✨ A variety to choose from.

And my writing soared.

Effortless ease looked like —
1️⃣ Choosing a topic
2️⃣ Typing a title and some key points in my Facebook status (because there’s something about typing here that makes it simpler.)
3️⃣ Copying what I wrote into an “Outline” folder.
4️⃣ Coming back another day to choose which outline I wanted to add to.
5️⃣ Filling in the blanks and transferring it to a file where all my completed pieces live, so I can choose which to publish next!
6️⃣ Then edit on another day (or hire it out if that’s not effortless.)
7️⃣ And publish.

Effortless ease in practice is not entirely effortless, I know, but there’s a difference between something taking too much effort and working smarter for maximum results.

Jumping around a Hard Knocks boxing/dance class for an hour wasn’t “effortless” in reality, but it felt a helluva lot effortless than forcing myself to jump on a free YouTube video for 20 minutes. Transitions to the gym helped with this, too.

✨ Key Takeaway: Look at what task you’re resisting and figure out how to make it nearly effortless.

This comes down to how well you function. You have some amazing strengths at your disposal, so eliminate all the “musts” and focus on what’s fun for you and what you do well.

That’s where the effortless ease will show up... well... easier.

❤️ Tell me in the comments if you’re struggling with this or if you have an effortless practice you know works so well.👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

I used to love tarot cards when I was a kid — my Charmed-loving self was always curious how magic came to life through them.

As I grew up, Tarot cards became something I couldn’t use.

My logical mind argued against it.

But now I see them as a fun activity to give me an answer without overthinking it. (And I tend to overthink a lot.)

It’s not about living my life blindly by something like a tarot card or an astrology reading — Because you should never live blindly by anything.

Instead, see it as a message making its way to me and I might be too engrossed in my thinking ways to hear it.

I like to see it as a simple way to hear my intuition speaking to me.

Today I pulled “Whale and Orca Elders” which means to share my song and dive deep.

It means I’m being called to surrender to my deepest truth and share it with potency.

It’s about who I truly am and stretch my heart wide enough, to leave my fears doubts and baggage at the door.

To give others the privilege of seeing who I really am.

So what does that mean practically?

Right now, that means me sharing all I’ve been wanting to for so long, but felt paralyzed by fear to do so.

It means picking up a pen and putting it to paper, typing away until my fears become silent and my soul feels at peace at the unclenching, the release.

It means I’m expressing my genius the way that feels good for me.

It means.... there will be articles published soon and with it, the freedom I’ve been seeking for so long.

Stay tuned.
