I wrote this little diddy nine years ago while in one of the darkest seasons of my life. You’ve probably heard me say this before but I’ll say it again: THE ONLY WAY OUT IS THROUGH. If today your thoughts are dark or your dreams are hazy, just keep going and choose one thing that brings you joy. Even if it’s as small as going for a walk.

For me in that season, it was moments like this… sitting at a piano with my daughter in my arms, hearing her giggle when I’d hit the keys. Life is never perfect. There will always be hardship or heaviness. But bit by bit we learn to manage it and build resilience. Let go. Look up. Trust the journey.
