Overnight, the listening public catapulted the station to #1 in the adult ratings. Although the initial product design was clearly novel (a 1200 song library spanning 4 decades, packaged with a playful and campy attitude), it became clear that a deeper chord had been struck. In 2003, Pat Bohn (Canadian-based Bohn & Associates Media Inc.) and Garry Wall (American-based Wall Media) agreed to license

the JACK FM brand in the United States and together formed SparkNet Communications LP. In March 2004, the first American JACK FM station was launched in Denver, Colorado. Today, JACK FM has 14 million weekly listeners worldwide and is respected as the leader of the Adult Hits radio format. SparkNet has overseen JACK's growth in 48 markets and received trademarks in 90 countries worldwide. JACK FM has now launched in the United Kingdom and Austria, and is engaged in partnership negotiations in other Global markets.
