A business trip, a birthday song, and a little reminder that growth should never make us lose touch with the things we love. ✨

I am proud of the rooms I get to enter, the connections I get to make, and the work I am building. But I also believe in making space for the gifts that have always been a part of me.

Partnership should never happen only over a video call.

When we partner with an institution, we show up. We walk the campus, listen to leadership, learn from students, and get close to the people and systems the work is meant to support.

Our visit to Lane College reflects how we lead: hands on, relationship first, and committed to building work that lasts. We are proud to grow alongside their team as we support workforce and data infrastructure that creates stronger pathways into technology and opportunity.

We know there are more HBCUs with bold visions, talented students, and communities ready to grow. We are looking forward to building meaningful partnerships with institutions that are ready to invest in the future of their students.

You do not have to trade your femininity for credibility in tech.

You can be girly. You can be sexy. You can love a good outfit, wear the heels, and still walk into a data meeting with the expertise, strategy, and confidence to lead the room.

Being feminine does not make us less qualified. Being soft does not make us less powerful. And showing up fully as ourselves does not take away from the brilliance we bring to the table.

We belong in tech exactly as we are. 💚

We started Rachel + Winfree with one belief: data should create opportunities, not barriers.

What began as a vision to help organizations make better use of their data has grown into work that sits at the intersection of data, AI, workforce strategy, and community impact. From helping leaders build practical AI strategies to creating career pathways through Local Tek Nashville, our purpose has remained the same: to build solutions that help people, organizations, and communities move forward.

We are grateful for every client, student, partner, and supporter who has trusted us along the way. There is still so much work to do, and we are excited about what is next.

If someone told us workforce development in tech is not a priority right now, we would simply ask them to look around. 😂

Tech is in your car. Tech is in your doctor’s office. Tech is in your grocery store, your bank, your child’s classroom, and your morning coffee order. There is not a single industry left that is not touched by technology.

So if tech is in everything, then developing the people who understand it, build it, and manage it is not optional. It is urgent.

The workforce has to keep up with the world we are already living in. That is not a future problem. That is a right now problem. 💚

We showed up Hackathon and watched these students do something incredible. They walked into a competitive, high energy environment and held their own. They collaborated, they problem solved, and they represented everything that Local Tek Nashville stands for.

This is what happens when you invest in people who have been overlooked by traditional pipelines. You do not just get participants. You get future leaders.

We have been building Local Tek Nashville to create exactly these kinds of moments. Real world experience. Real confidence. Real careers.

There was a moment when we stopped asking “what if” and started asking “why not us.”

We saw a gap. Not just in the tech workforce, but in who was being invited into it. The talent was there. The drive was there. What was missing was access, intentional pathways, and a program that actually believed in the people it was built for.

That is the moment Local Tek Nashville went from a good idea to a necessity.
