NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry (TDF) announces the application period is open for a special round of Forest Legacy Program (FLP) funding made available to landowners to protect privately owned forested land from development.

“As conversion of forested land for development increases in Tennessee, the need to conserve critical woodlands grows,” State Forester Heather Slayton said. “This program helps put long-term conservation within reach for more Tennesseans, helping to ensure that future generations will have access to the many benefits sustainably managed forests provide, including a thriving forest industry, clean air and pure water.”

Tennessee continues to drive statewide agricultural innovation, and today’s announcement from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture reinforces that momentum.

Six agricultural businesses across the state have been awarded AgTrack Cost Share Grants, positioning them for expansion and empowering stronger rural and urban economic impact.

Commissioner Andy Holt summarized the mission clearly:
“AgTrack is an investment in Tennessee’s agricultural future.”
These grants advance Gov. Bill Lee’s priorities by supporting job creation, enhancing value-added production, and opening new markets for farmers and forest landowners.

At OnTrack International Trade®, we champion initiatives that strengthen Tennessee’s agricultural infrastructure. AgTrack programs accelerate innovation, boost local supply chains, and create long-term opportunities for producers and ag-based enterprises across the state.

2025 AgTrack Recipients:

• Meatman – Davidson County (Meat Processing)
• By Faith Farm – Davidson County (Food Producer)
• Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. – Dyer County (Grain Elevator)

• Protrition – Rutherford County (Feed Mill)

The next AgTrack application deadline is Dec. 30, 2025.
