We’re proud to celebrate a meaningful moment for our leadership Perri duGard Owens, Anthony Owens, and their family, as Metro Nashville Public Schools recently renamed Brick Church Middle School to the Richard Dinkins Early College Middle Magnet School. The renaming honors the legacy of Judge Richard Dinkins, a beloved family member and lifelong champion for education, equity, and justice.

The newly renamed school will feed into the Law Academy at Whites Creek High School, continuing Judge Dinkins’ vision of access and opportunity for future generations. Special thanks to Ashford Hughes Sr., Dr. Adrienne Battle, the Metro Nashville School Board, and Mayor Freddie O’Connell for helping make this moment possible.

We celebrate the entire Dinkins family and the Nashville community for honoring a powerful legacy. We’re grateful to witness and share in this meaningful recognition.
