Restarting your water system? Take it slow.

After freezing temperatures, turning everything back on too quickly can cause more damage.

✔️ Open one cold-water faucet on the lowest level
✔️ Slowly turn the main water valve back on to prevent sudden pressure change
✔️ Check for leaks, specially around pipes before opening other faucets
✔️ Go one faucet at a time

✔️ Make sure the hot water tank has water before turning on the power
✔️ Run the cold water for a couple of minutes first
✔️ In case of a well, check if the pump is running properly


A little patience now can save a big cleanup later.
