Oh it’s definitely an “oofos” recovery sandals happy hour. 18+ miles today and the dogs are barking. Thank the Lord for my Oofos sandals and my newly discovered Thatcher family cider. Absolutely nectar from the Gods after walking days. Cheers to you Thatcher family for four centuries of cider crafting!

Visiting our Westlake Village, CA ('92-'98) friends this weekend. While shopping in local COSTCO I hear "Bill -in Ganon!!!" I look up to see my long time Newsweek buddy Paul Andrews. Haven't seen each other face to face in 20+ years. So much fun to catch up, share stories, and laugh. See? You really *can* get anything in COSTCO!

Who's a blessed grand- "Deda" x2? This guy. Erin Lee Spaulding arrived Jan. 7 at a hefty 8lbs 7oz. Her Mom, Dad, sister Logan and grandma "Gigi", are doing great and are thrilled.

Been a jammed packed couple of weeks. Had the honor of being asked to be the featured luncheon speaker at the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce. My topic was "Small Talk Is Actually a Big Thing", which the audience seemed to really enjoy. We did a networking exercise and had a lot of involvement throughout with contributions and questions. Best part was the results poll - almost every single attendee took a couple of minutes for feedback and I couldn't have been more pleased. See results below. Many thanks to and the entire Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce for such a nice invitation and great crowd.

Who says you can't get a laugh on virtual presentations?!? This week, I was the Showcase Presenter on • Marty Dickinson's weekly Speakers Speak Live group and gave a new presentation "5 Rules For Giving Presentations That Stick!" Plenty of advice over the 10 minutes, and a few laughs as well. A very supportive group that also provides excellent constructive criticism to each Showcase Presenter to make them even better. And...they know how to laugh too. I'll be glad to provide the link to the 10 min. talk if you DM me.

More love for educators. Was invited to address a full house of students in Glencliff High School's Academy Program. These ambassador-students are selected for their academics and their interpersonal skills to lead tours of the school in addition to their respective academies of choice. Presentation time was 7:10am. These students assemble often beginning earlier than 7, and I was so impressed at their attention and participation in my "Make Your Presentation Soar" workshop - concentrating on presentation and public speaking skills.

What an outstanding week with my Cigar PEG gang. After months of weekly online collaboration, we got to put real people in front of real people again!
