ATTN: HOMEOWNERS - You do realize that Harris's taxation on "unrecognized gains," means that if your home goes up in value for any reason, you'll have to pay the tax on it, even if you're not selling your house? It's a Capital gain. And, that's over and above your normal property tax.
Do you have any idea, how many people will lose their homes over the burden this will place on millions of homeowners, nationwide?
Any idea how many Seniors, on fixed incomes will be the first to fall?
They work all their lives only to lose their homes to taxation that they can no longer afford.
Is this, your idea of what you want America to be?
A tax like this, penalizes, every homeowner in the nation that takes pride in homeownership.
I was a Mortgage Broker/Banker for 26 years, this ridiculous tax to raise government revenue, that's all most taxes are, and I'm sure we all can agree on that, but this tax "penalizes you for owning a home," a very expensive penalty.
Everytime, you do that neat little home improvement that you've always dreamed of, you're gonna have to pay a tax for it. Guys, really, this tax is literally ridiculous, all by itself.
You can't just continue to take more from those who earned it simply because, you don't have all that you can spend, regardless of party.
I'm a a swing voter, if you are too and, you own a home, you might wanna consider this on November 3rd.
