7 Heights Road in the Village of Plandome was built in 1918 by Arthur W. Coote in the Colonial Revival style for Lewis I. Sharpe who served as vice president of National City Bank. It was subsequently owned by George F. Weimann who was an importer. While Coote as an architect worked all throughout Manhasset and Great Neck, he did not recieve as much acclaim as his associated firm of Tooker & Marsh which was considered one of the preeminent designers of schools nationally during the 20th century.
