Just added...fine...fine...fine Persian Silk Keshan. Unlike most silk rugs which have silk pile on a cotton foundation, this is a pure silk on silk fabulous little carpet. 2.6 x4 and in totally mint condition. Purchased in Wellesley in 1979 at an Oriental rug store no longer in business for...get ready...maybe sit down...$4000. We are selling this amazing carpet for $750. It is so finely woven that the backside looks like a painting! Just an incredible piece!

Just added these two handwoven American Indian rugs to our inventory. In most shops or textile shows the 2.6 x5 would sell for $300 while the older black and white one would sell for $750. Our prices respectively are $125 and $375. Hard-to-find gems at these prices as anyone into American Indian rugs knows.Over the years, people tend to hold onto these treasures rather than part with them.

This little (aprox 2 x 3) all-wool Navahoe rug/blanket is the first with some age I have come across at a fair price in many moons. I am no expert on American Indian carpets but over my 44 years in the oriental rug field I have purchased a handful. I like them. I will be selling this for $150. I saw two this size for sale at Brimfield a couple weeks ago, both in the $500 range.

Wonderul 9 x 12 Persian Heriz from approx 1930....would certainly go well with carpets like old Serapis and Feraghan Sarouks.Has rust background with ivory and blue highlights. Wear is fairly even and there is one repair....a patch done decades ago.(See it on the left side of the blue center medallion.) For its age, this decorative treasure would retail in most oriental rug shops for atleast $7500 ....price here is $2750...a la Filene's Bargain Basement.

Thanks to Denise(and my good friend Jason who is responsible for me knowing her) the rug shop has been semi-open since my April 13th surgery. Denise has been juggling working at Cherished Antiques for Jason and cleaning carpets for Lesniak Oriental Rugs. She has become an absolute pro at rug cleaning. If only her pal, Jason, could play leftfield as well as she cleans carpets. Hey, atleast he knows his antiques.
