Network Maintenance 8/19

**5:00 pm Work is complete. If you do not have internet please unplug power to your home router for a few seconds and plug back in.

We'll be climbing today to replace a copper line with fiber at our Neodesha tower router, located at the top of the tower. When temperatures hit triple digits, this line has been losing its link temporarily and then reconnecting. The work will cause a brief outage, but it should only last a few seconds.

We'll also be moving one of the sectors connected to this router down to a lower router — this reduces the power load and improves stability during high heat. This sector serves 13 customers in town and will require a quick reboot of your equipment to grab a new IP address. We'll be reaching out to everyone affected to help get you back online.

To our Neodesha customers that have been approached by a Gateway door to door salesman saying we were bought out by them. I can assure you that we have not been bought out and we are not raising our prices. We have heard many stories in the last few months but this was the first time I have heard that we were bought out.

Please spread the word to your friends and family that have us and that may not use Facebook.

For those that were pressured into switching and want to come back. Please let us know, we will not charge to reinstall service.

We value our customers and we do not try to gain customers by misleading and pressuring. We are a small local company and we know many of you personally and treat you the way we would want to be treated.

Here is Austin's view from the top of Neodesha tower. We had a radio that needed replaced at the very top of the 400ft tower and with the extreme heat he climbed at midnight to beat the heat.

Update 11:45pm We have equipment programmed and ready to install. We will install tomorrow morning.

Emily Holst tower appears to have been hit as well. Feeds rural Altoona and the city of Buffalo.

Network outage 6:45 pm

Lockhart tower lightning strike affecting rural Buffalo and rural Chanute. Waiting for the severe weather to pass to safely asses the damage.

Update Service has been restored

6/21 9:25 am Network outage

We currently have an outage at Neodesha tower. The router is 300 ft up the tower and affects our rural Neodesha customers. A tech is on the way.

6/14 Outage Update.

We have a generator running at Thayer water tower. The painters are still there working and have moved our radio's on the tower so they can paint. This has put them out of alignment and causes weak signal for some and others are disconnected. We are waiting for them to complete their work so we can realign the radios.

Pietz AP has been replaced and customers are back online.

6/14 Outages. 7:50am We currently have power out at Thayer water tower. We are loading up a generator and running out to restore service.

There is also an AP offline on Peitz tower affecting 3 customers. That will be replaced this morning as well.
