-Stay involved by using the internet together to teach good computer and online habits.
-Keep computers and electronic devices in an open area to monitor online activity easily.
-Monitor computer activity to be aware of what your child is doing and who they are talking to online.
-Keep lines of communication open to enable discussions about problems and concerns.
-Consider partitioning your computer into separate accounts or implementing parental controls.

Good morning! We wanted to let you know that we are aware of some outages across our network this morning as a result of last night storms. This is mainly in the Underwood area as a result of lightning strikes and power outages. We have crews working hard to restore connectivity to our affected customers. Updates to follow!

Service Advisory – Streaming & Web Platform Issues

We want to make our customers aware that several major online platforms are currently experiencing widespread outages and service disruptions nationwide.

Services reporting issues include:
• YouTube TV
• YouTube
• Google services
• Netflix
• Hulu
• Facebook
…and others.

These issues are not related to the Western Iowa Wireless network. Our infrastructure is operating normally.

You can independently verify current platform outages by visiting DownDetector.com, which tracks real-time service disruptions across the country.

We understand how frustrating streaming interruptions can be, especially in the evening hours. Please know we are actively monitoring the situation, but resolution will need to come from the affected platforms themselves.

If you are experiencing general connectivity issues (unable to browse multiple websites, devices not connecting, etc.), feel free to reach out to our support team.

To our customers in the Oakland area, MidAmerica Energy is experiencing a power outage. We have techs enroute to restore back up power to the area.

We experienced a small internet outage today in the Underwood and Neola areas due to a component failure. Our team identified the issue quickly and has already taken steps to resolve it. Service should now be restored for all customers.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any football game interruptions.

One of our upstream providers is currently experiencing an issue in Omaha. They’re actively working on it but haven’t provided a timeframe for resolution yet.

Good news: We’ve rolled traffic over to our backup provider to keep things running smoothly in the meantime. Most customers shouldn’t notice any interruptions.

Important note: If you use a VPN that relies on a static IP, you may still experience issues until Hurricane’s service is restored.
