The WEINIG Scan and Chop System - recently installed in our manufacturing plant - is a fully automatic, high-performance line that scans the lumber components on all sides for defects and sends that data down the line to two saws to trim out the imperfections - all at full production speed.

Where it starts: we buy several hundred thousand board-feet of lumber each month. We source all of our raw materials from the local Appalachian region. These packs have been sorted and are getting ready for our kilns where they’re dried to achieve optimal moisture levels before processing.
