Nevada City Uncorked - Wine & Food Experience Nevada City Uncorked, a sip-and-stroll event, brings together the best wines, foods, and venues for the event of the summer.

Each venue, whether it’s a historic location, winery, gallery, inn, restaurant, or shop will include wine and food sampling.

J.J. Jackson's Hosts Heartwood and LoneBuffalo Vineyards
J.J. Jackson has been the site of a variety of mercantile stores since Nevada City’s earliest days and specializes in home accents, travel gear, fun gifts and cards.

Heartwood Café will be serving Peach-Ricotta Toast, including house made seed bread, tree-ripened peaches and fresh house-made ricotta, topped with a drizzle of local honey.

Lone Buffalo Vineyards is a family-owned, harvest to bottling, hands-on micro-winery pouring their award-winning wines including their featured new release, 2016 Tatonka Tempranillo.

Tickets are $35 through midnight, Friday August 23rd and $45 on Saturday.

The ham stand Joins Nevada City Winery, at Nevada City Winery
The Ham Stand, a modern-day Salumeria and catering service, specializes in Italian-style cured meats, BBQ products and specialty cuts. At Uncorked this year they will be offering local pork belly, roasted red pepper grits, and a pesto purée.

Nevada City Winery will be pouring a selection of new releases including 2016 Chardonnay, the latest version of Rough and Ready Red, and their Uncorked Featured New Release, 2016 Zinfandel.

Nevada City Winery is Nevada County's premier winery, dating back to 1980, and 100 years before that in its very first incarnation. Enjoy wine on the deck overlooking the crush pad. Harvest is about to start.

Golden Era Hosts Lucchesi Vineyards & Winery and BackPorch Market, at The Golden Era.
The Golden Era is Nevada City's premiere location for handcrafted cocktails, premium local wines, and craft beers.
Lucchesi Vineyards and Winery, celebrating 20 years of grape growing this year, will be pouring their award-winning wines including their Featured New Release, 2017 Cabernet Franc.

BackPorch Market, a specialty food shop located in Grass Valley, features artisan meats, cheeses, wines, and entrees made from scratch. During Uncorked they will be offering Chorizo-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon and Pancetta Mac & Cheese bites.

Gray Pine Winery is quickly establishing itself as the premier, go-to winery in the region for Bordeaux reds. This year they will be showcasing their award-winning wines along with their featured new release, the 2016 Petit Verdot.

The Northern Sierra Foothills are a special place for wines. Just ask Stewart Perry at Fawnridge Winery. Their 2017 Chardonnay received a Gold Medal at the prestigious Orange County Wine Competition and rocked the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition with a Double Gold. Their 2015 Sangiovese scored Silver Medals at the SF Chronicle and at NY Finger Lakes Competition.
If you haven’t tried any Fawnridge wines recently, you can meet the winemaker and taste the wines at Nevada City Uncorked on Saturday, August 24 in downtown Nevada City.
