We had over 100 applications for the 2026 YFP Gives scholarships.

To be exact, 102.

That’s a big jump from previous years, and it says a lot about the next generation of pharmacists.

More students, residents, and fellows are thinking intentionally about their future…not just their career path, but how money, goals, and life all connect.

We’ll be awarding 10 scholarships this year, and our team will begin the review process soon.

Grateful to be part of supporting this community in a small way.

One of the biggest retirement decisions you will make is when to claim Social Security.

Should you claim at 62?

Wait until full retirement age?

Delay until 70?

The answer depends on much more than just maximizing the monthly check.

Health, longevity, marital status, retirement timing, taxes, work plans, pensions, and other retirement income sources can all influence the best strategy.

For many pharmacists, Social Security becomes one of the biggest puzzle pieces in building a retirement paycheck...serving as a critical piece in creating a "floor" of monthly income that informs how other assets will be withdrawn.

And, through proactive planning, we can avoid making a decision based on a rule of thumb, fear, or what a colleague or friend did.

Last week, the market hit record highs.

Today, markets are down, and oil prices are climbing.

That can feel unsettling.

But this is also a reminder that volatility is a normal part of investing.

There will always be scary headlines.

There will always be uncertainty.

There will always be moments where it feels tempting to change course.

But long-term investing is not about reacting emotionally to short-term headlines.

It is about building a plan that can weather uncertainty and stay disciplined over time.

If your goals have not changed, your investment plan may not need to change either.

Sometimes the best thing to do is zoom out.
