Last night, I had a meaningful conversation with a dear friend. She serenaded me with her beautiful music, and as we caught up, we reflected on the blessings in our lives. My friend, who is Jewish, reminded me of the significance of Rosh Hashanah, a time for new beginnings and reflection. She helped me see how my creativity and work as a coach are valuable, especially for the younger generation seeking guidance in their careers and lives.
Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed by the clutter—not just on my desk, but in my space and mind. The never-ending challenge of trying to clear it all away made me pause and reflect. What is it that keeps piling up? Is it too many expectations I place on myself? As I thought about this more deeply, I realized that the pressure I put on myself, even with something as simple as decluttering, can be exhausting.
In my work as a career coach, I focus on helping others achieve their goals and find clarity. But today, I realized I need to be more compassionate toward myself. My expectations don’t need to be so high. Finding peace, even in small moments, can bring the greatest joy and remind me to stay grounded.
I’m learning that it's okay to ask for help when needed and to take things one step at a time. As we approach a new season, I feel grateful for the reminder to not only clear the physical clutter but also the mental clutter, embracing the inner peace that makes everything feel lighter.
This version focuses on being present and mindful, encouraging gratitude and self-compassion. How does this resonate with you? Would you like to adjust anything? Also, I can offer tips on staying organized to help alleviate the overwhelm if you’d like!
