MCBA 2nd Vice President Valerie A. Jackson has been named the recipient of the 2026 Hon. Lisa P. Thornton Award, which recognizes leadership in advancing inclusion within the legal profession. The award will be presented during the Diversity Committee’s annual luncheon at the NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention (May 13-15). Congratulations Valerie!

Thank you to all who volunteered on Sat, Apr 11th at Elijah's Promise . . . EP provides 3000 meals a week to those in need, we were able to contribute 792 of those meals. The bar has been set for the next group, scheduled on July 23.

From last night's event, congratulations to all of our 2026 Practice Area Award recipients and a special recognition to Hon. Yolanda Ciccone on her recent retirement as Middlesex County Prosecutor. Practice area award recipients were Joshua Altman (Criminal), Craig Aronow (Civil), Jennifer Burgess (Mun Ct), Jacob Davidson (Chancery), Richard Galex (Pro Bono, not present), Kristen Pridgen (Young Lawyer) and David Stein (Transactional).
