Many of you may remember Jessica that ran the check-in/tool counter, as well as many other things, for the woodshop over the years. You may also remember Jimmie himself (both pictured below). He pitched in to help MANY times with not only production, but also with moving when the woodshop lost their building after covid. Despite the many challenges they faced with the not-so-new building, he continued to help when he could to try to get them through. I know the owner Deb (also Jessica's mom and Jimmie's mother-in-law) has not updated on here for a while regarding the move, but there were several losses and other major challenges before this heartbreak--which put the reopening plans on hold. Her focus now is helping her daughter and grandkids get back on their feet. She will update everyone regarding the woodshop after everything settles and her daughter and grandkids get through this. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

***RE-OPENING UPDATE & INPUT NEEDED, PLEASE***

We sincerely apologize for not updating sooner, we didn't have answers yet. *We may have found our new location and may move soon to prep for reopening, but we need some input, PLEASE, to make sure it is the right move this time. (in comments most helpful)

As many of you know, we lost our original building during Covid. Unfortunately, the building we moved to had MANY issues that kept us from fully reopening, and ultimately had to move the machines and operations out of those conditions and close. We pray the years of bad luck are over and found a very nice, suitable building.

*We want to make sure that our previous, loyal following we had would still come to our new place, being it is in a different area, as well as hope for new clients in the KC area. It would be in KCK, but near many major highways for easy access (very close to I-35 & 7th St/Rainbow exit (approx. 20 min north of our Olathe space, but only approx. 15 minutes from the intersection of I-35 & 4-35, for you JoCo folks).

? Would that be close enough to come? If so, which of our many woodshop offerings would you most likely use....day pass (how often?), monthly membership (hobbyist or pro/business?), longer membership, full beginning woodworking class (one night a week, or Saturday morning, for 7 weeks) shorter class, one-day workshops, one-on-one instruction (you pick the project to build), youth classes, youth workshop or custom cuts/builds (having one of our pros make the cuts or builds for you).

Any input would be greatly appreciated and help us ensure we are providing the right needs to our community. If you are not familiar with the above-mentioned services, you can see them on our website (we will not have the CNC, wide-belt or lathes, but will still have all of the major machines and hand tools needed. We will get a new wide-belt once we are back on our feet). The link to our website....
