Everyone in Ireland adored the children. All was well until the queen died of a sudden illness. The new queen saw how much the king doted on his children and how the fairies loved them, and slowly grew jealous of the children… what happened next?

Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) recently organised a new programme called ‘GEMS@Work’, where Secondary 2 Express students got to spend a day in the workplace of their parents, relatives or volunteer host . iLovereading was privileged to host some of these students 🤩! This is part of the school’s effort to provide learning experiences beyond the classroom. Students get to experience the world of work to discover its demands and prerequisites and appreciate what their parents, relatives or volunteer hosts do!

We hope that the students enjoyed their time with us as much as we did with them 🌟!

It is important to analyse the question before writing an expository essay and to do so, we must first identify key words in the question. Key words can be content words such as nouns, verbs, adverbs or adjectives. This is crucial especially when the key words are ambiguous and have more than one meaning or interpretation! Next, we have to identify the ‘WH’ question word such as What, Why and How.
